A letter to Christian Parents.

Dear Parents,

If your family is anything like mine, my attempts to talk about God are often met with eye rolls. How do we encourage our young ones to develop godly habits without seeming preachy and boring? How do we walk out our faith in front of our kids when we know that we don’t have all the answers? How can we inspire them to follow God themselves, and that this isn’t just an ‘adult thing’?

These are the questions that inspired my Sienna and Kai series. I wanted my nephews and nieces to see other children, like them, wrestling with the deeper issues of our faith.

How do we teach our children to listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit? (The Treasure Man)

How do I forgive – even when it still hurts? (Love from Sienna)

What do I do if my friend asks about Jesus or wants to come to church? (Kai – Born to be Super)

What does it mean to live with Jesus as my example? (Kai – Making it Count)

How do I remember that Jesus is with me? (Kai – Playing his Part)

These are big questions, and they are addressed through fun stories which the children can read independently. However, I recommend that you also read these books, with your children or separately. Use the questions in the back to promote discussion, and don’t be afraid to be vulnerable with your child about the ways you are growing in these areas.

My dream is for our children to go further in God than we have gone. We need to teach them in a way they can understand, where they can ask the difficult questions and learn how to apply scripture to their lives. That is what these books are designed to do.

They are more than just stories; they are resources to help you disciple your children and grow together with them.

I am writing more stories and developing resources to use in small groups. Signing up to the newsletter is the best way to stay informed. We have tried to keep our prices as low as possible, but if you still can not afford them, please get in touch via the contact form below, and we will see what we can do to help you.

If these resources are useful, please let me know, and tell others about them. Let’s raise a generation of children who are not afraid to take God at His word and change the world for Him.

God bless,

Joy Vee
